1. Scope and responsibility
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to use of the Pave VoIP LLC website and, where incorporated into a Service Agreement, Pave VoIP voice, routing, connectivity, interconnection, account, portal, and support resources (collectively, the “Services”).
Customers are responsible for activity originating from or routed through their accounts, credentials, systems, users, contractors, customers, and downstream providers. A customer may not permit another person to engage in conduct that the customer could not perform directly.
Core standard. Use the Services only for legitimate, authorized, transparent, and lawful communications. Maintain records and controls appropriate to your traffic, customers, and legal obligations.
2. Lawful use
You may not use the Services to violate, facilitate violation of, or evade any applicable law, regulation, court order, sanctions program, or legally binding industry obligation. Prohibited activity includes:
- fraud, attempted fraud, extortion, impersonation, deception, or theft;
- harassment, threats, stalking, abuse, exploitation, or communications intended to cause unlawful harm;
- transmitting content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or unlawfully discriminatory;
- obstructing a lawful investigation, ignoring a valid preservation request, or concealing material information requested for a compliance review;
- evading sanctions, export controls, geographic restrictions, or other lawful access limitations; and
- using proceeds, identities, numbers, or network resources obtained through unlawful means.
You are responsible for understanding the laws that apply to your use, including rules based on the origin, destination, recipient, content, purpose, and method of a communication.
3. Consent and communications practices
You must obtain and document any consent, permission, business relationship, or other legal basis required before initiating a communication. You must honor revocation, opt-out, do-not-contact, quiet-hour, and suppression requirements that apply to your activity.
You may not use the Services for:
- unsolicited bulk or repeated communications prohibited by law;
- communications sent after a recipient has validly withdrawn consent or requested that they stop;
- misleading solicitations, deceptive offers, false urgency, or material omissions;
- communications directed to protected or restricted categories of recipients without required permission; or
- email messages that use inaccurate routing information, deceptive subject lines, or omit legally required sender identification and opt-out instructions.
Records supporting consent and lawful purpose must be retained for the period required by applicable law and produced to Pave VoIP when reasonably necessary to investigate credible misuse.
4. Identity and caller information
You may transmit only caller or sender information that you are authorized to use and that is accurate as required by law. You may not knowingly cause materially misleading or inaccurate caller identification to be displayed with intent to defraud, cause harm, or wrongfully obtain anything of value.
You must not:
- impersonate another person, organization, government entity, or trusted institution;
- alter identity information to conceal unlawful activity or frustrate traceback;
- remove, falsify, or interfere with required call-authentication information;
- use a telephone number without authorization from the lawful assignee or an authorized provider; or
- submit false customer, business, address, ownership, or traffic information to Pave VoIP.
5. Network and routing integrity
You may not use the Services in a manner that harms, degrades, evades, or interferes with Pave VoIP, another provider, a destination network, or other users. This includes:
- traffic designed primarily to create artificial volume, manipulate compensation, or exploit rating differences;
- repeated short-duration, unanswered, invalid-destination, malformed, or otherwise abusive traffic patterns;
- unauthorized alteration of signaling, routing, headers, records, or technical identifiers;
- sending traffic that materially departs from an agreed profile without notice where notice is required;
- attempting to bypass a block, suspension, screening control, routing restriction, or compliance measure; and
- using the Services to disrupt, overload, or degrade any system or network.
Pave VoIP may require accurate forecasts, source and destination information, test plans, or corrective action where a traffic pattern presents operational, security, legal, or reputational risk.
6. Security requirements
You must maintain safeguards appropriate to your use of the Services, including access controls, secure credentials, timely software maintenance, account review, and incident response. Credentials and technical access details may be shared only with people who need them for authorized work.
You may not:
- access or attempt to access an account, system, record, or network without authorization;
- probe, scan, test, intercept, or monitor a system without the owner’s written authorization;
- introduce malicious code or tools intended to damage, surveil, disrupt, or obtain unauthorized access;
- publish or exploit a security vulnerability in a manner that creates avoidable harm; or
- continue using credentials known or reasonably suspected to be compromised.
Report a suspected compromise affecting the Services promptly to support@pavevoip.com and take reasonable steps to contain the issue.
7. Number and addressing resources
Telephone numbers, routing identifiers, IP addresses, and other addressing resources must be used only as authorized and in accordance with applicable allocation, porting, assignment, and recordkeeping rules.
You may not warehouse, hoard, resell, transfer, port, advertise, or represent control of a resource without authorization. You must provide accurate end-user and service-location information when required and cooperate with lawful correction, reclamation, or transfer processes.
8. Content and business conduct
You are responsible for content transmitted through your use of the Services. Content may not infringe intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or other rights. You may not use Pave VoIP’s name, marks, network, or relationship to suggest sponsorship, certification, or endorsement without written permission.
False complaints, fabricated records, bad-faith charge disputes, or retaliatory reports are prohibited. Good-faith compliance and security reports are encouraged and will not violate this AUP merely because the report identifies a problem.
9. Resellers and downstream users
If you provide access to the Services to customers or other downstream users, you must maintain enforceable terms that are at least as protective as this AUP, conduct reasonable onboarding and oversight, provide a functioning abuse-reporting channel, and act promptly on credible reports.
You remain responsible to Pave VoIP for downstream activity as stated in your Service Agreement. You must not knowingly provide Services to a party removed or restricted for misuse without Pave VoIP’s prior written approval.
10. Investigation and enforcement
Pave VoIP may investigate suspected violations using information reasonably available to us and may request records necessary to evaluate a complaint, security event, or abnormal traffic pattern. We may preserve and disclose information where required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, networks, users, or the public.
Depending on severity, urgency, history, and contractual terms, Pave VoIP may issue a warning, require corrective action, restrict traffic, disable access, suspend affected Services, terminate a relationship, or refer a matter to an appropriate authority. Immediate action may be taken where delay could cause material harm or legal exposure.
Where practical and permitted, we will provide notice and an opportunity to respond. Enforcement decisions under a Service Agreement remain subject to that agreement.
11. Reporting, cooperation, and updates
Report suspected misuse, security concerns, or policy violations to support@pavevoip.com. Include only information you are authorized to share, along with relevant timestamps, identifiers, and a clear description. Do not send passwords or unnecessary sensitive information.
We may update this AUP as laws, risks, technologies, or Services change. The revised version will be posted with a new effective date. Material changes will receive additional notice where required by law or contract.
